A dog whole-genome integrated map composed of cytogenetic, radiation-hybrid and meiotic maps has been constructed.
This integrated map of the domestic dog genome consists of over 1750 unique markers.
The canine radiation hybrid map now contains 1500 markers including 1108 microsatellites, 308 dog gene markers and 84 chromosome-specific markers.
The localization of dog gene markers on the map allows the detection of 65 conserved segments between dog and human.
